A story of passion

Graphite Customs, based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is a company born out of passion. Casey Spurgeon, founder and avid studio craft hobbyist, developed the business from ideas he came up with while attending a local glass blowing class. They crafted glass marbles that day, but Casey had inspiration to create much more. Before returning to collect his final, tempered product from the class, he took with him a wooden mold created on his father’s CNC machine to experiment with blown glass. Through trial and error, Casey and the shop owner had limited success with these molds due to the wood’s inconsistency and lack of detail. Casey then set out to develop a better mold. He spent three months building his own CNC machine in his spare time and experimenting with graphite as a new mold medium. These new graphite molds became the perfect vessel for custom glass creations.

Casey went on to form Graphite Customs and now creates flawless custom graphite molds and other pieces for his customers. His love of craft combined with his drive to make ideas come to life are the fundamental foundation of his business.
